Raluca Grosescu
Lecturer in politics at SNSPA, Bucharest. Her research focuses on justice processes in post-dictatorial and post-conflict societies and on the history of international criminal and humanitarian law. Her latest monograph Justice and Memory after Dictatorship: Latin America, Central Eastern Europe and the Fragmentation of International Criminal Law was published at the beginning of 2024 by Oxford University Press. She is currently preparing an edited volume on Socialism and International Law during and after the Cold War to be published by Oxford University Press in 2025. She is also the Principal Investigator of the ERC-Consolidator Grant Transnational Advocacy and Corporate Accountability for Major International Crimes (2021-2026).
Ned Richardson-Little
Leader of the research group "The Other Global Germany: Deviant Globalization and Transnational Criminality in the 20th Century,” at the University of Erfurt with the support of the Volkswagen Stiftung’s Freigeist program. He completed his PhD at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and previously held a post-doc at the University of Exeter. He is the author of The Human Rights Dictatorship: Socialism, Global Solidarity and Revolution in East Germany (Cambridge University Press, 2020).
Nelly Bekus
Lecturer at Exeter University, UK. Previously she held research positions at Harvard University, the Institute of Human Sciences in Vienna, and the University of Warsaw. Her research focuses on the sociology and history of cultural heritage, urban space, memory and identity in post-communist states. She has published in journals such as Theory and Society, The British Journal of Sociology, Slavic Review and Europe-Asia Studies. She is author of Struggle over Identity. The Official and the Alternative “Belarusianness” (Central European University Press, 2010).
Bogdan Cristian Iacob
Researcher at the Institute of History in Bucharest (Romanian Academy). His work centres on the study of East Central and South-eastern European experts (e.g., historians or doctors) in global contexts. He has also published on re-visiting the history of ‘1989’ and its aftermath as well as transitional justice circulations. He is co-author of 1989. A Global History of Eastern Europe (Cambridge University Press 2019) and the editor the special issue “Socialist Experts in Transnational Perspective” for the journal East Central Europe (2018).
Aurelian Muntean
Associate professor in political science and sociology at the National University of Political Studies and Public Administration, Bucharest. He has published in The American Journal of Economics and Sociology, Electoral Studies, European Journal of Industrial Relations, Government and Opposition, Europe-Asia Studies, Romanian Journal of Society and Politics, and contributed to various edited volumes. He authored a book on quantitative and qualitative research methods (Cluj University Press 2022). His research focuses on multinational corporations, transnational social dialogue, electoral clientelism, corruption. He was co-investigator of the project SODITREC - Social Dialogue in the Transforming Economy (SNSPA Bucharest).
